3D Rendering for Flooring Brands

Flooring is bought by the room, not by the plank. We render your décors into full interiors — the same room, every colour, every plank width — so a customer can compare décors honestly instead of judging a 20 cm sample under shop lighting.

A décor library rendered from one room

Mannington 3D Visualization Case Study

Mannington

Mannington needed room imagery for a flooring range far too large to photograph décor by décor. We built the interiors once, modeled the products as accurate materials, and rendered each décor into the same scenes. The result is a library where every option is shown in identical light and framing, so customers compare the floor rather than the photograph — and new décors are added without another shoot.

How it works

From décor scans to finished rooms

You send the product data. We handle scenes, materials and delivery.

1
Step 1

Brief & input files

Share high-resolution décor scans or samples, plank dimensions, gloss level and embossing details, plus the room styles you want. A project manager sets the job up on our CGI CRM.

2
Step 2

Scene build & clay approval

Interiors are modeled and framed, then sent as grey clay renders. Camera, layout and styling are approved here, before any décor work.

3
Step 3

Materials & light

Each décor is built as a tiling-free material with correct embossing, gloss and colour, then lit so the floor reads as it does under daylight and lamps.

4
Step 4

Décor library & formats

Every décor is rendered into the approved scenes with the camera unchanged, plus plank layouts and close-ups where the range needs them.

5
Step 5

QA & delivery

Colour is checked against your samples, then images are delivered in the formats your website, room visualiser and print materials need.

We had a fantastic experience working with CGIFurniture. From the beginning, their team took the time to truly understand our needs and vision. They were thorough in their communication, asking the right technical questions to ensure everything was just right. The final results exceeded our expectations, the quality and realism of the images were outstanding. Not only did they deliver a stunning visual outcome, but they also helped us save significant time and money compared to a traditional in-person photo shoot.

We had a wonderful experience with CGIFurniture creating our tile product lifestyle scenes. They made two beautiful and accurate scenes for us in an efficient manner and met every deadline. Working with their team, especially Artem and Kate, made our collaborative experience a pleasure. We highly recommend their services and have passed their information on to many of our colleagues.

FAQ

Answers to common questions

What do you need from us to start?

High-resolution scans of each décor — or physical samples we can scan — plus plank dimensions, gloss level and embossing information. Colour accuracy depends entirely on this input, so it is worth getting right at the brief stage.

How do you avoid visible repetition in a floor?

Décors are built as randomised materials with per-plank variation, rotation and bevel, so a large floor does not show the tiling pattern that gives cheap flooring renders away. It is checked at full room scale before delivery.

Can you render our whole range in the same room?

Yes, and that is usually the point. The interior is built once and every décor is rendered into it with the camera and lighting unchanged, which is what makes a décor selector genuinely comparable.

Can the images feed a room visualiser?

They can. We deliver décors as consistent, aligned sets so they can be swapped in an online visualiser, and we can prepare the materials for real-time use if your platform supports it.

Do you show transitions, stairs and skirting?

Yes — those details decide specification questions. Thresholds, stair nosings and skirting profiles are modeled where your range includes them.

Can the same décor be shown in different daylight?

Yes. One scene is lit for morning, midday and evening, so a buyer sees how the colour shifts through the day — something a single photo shoot cannot show.

How long does a first project take?

It depends on how many scenes and décors are in scope. After the brief you get a schedule with scene approval, material approval and delivery milestones.

How much does flooring rendering cost?

Cost depends on the number of scenes and décors, not on the size of the room. Our price list breaks down project types with average costs and example results — download it above, or book a demo for an estimate on your range.
