Palliser

Palliser needed catalog and ecommerce imagery for upholstered collections that ship in dozens of fabric and leather options. Photographing each cover was never realistic. We modeled the frames and cushions once, built the covers as materials, and rendered the range from the same scenes, so every option is shown at the same angle, in the same light, and a shopper can compare them honestly rather than imagining the difference.

How it works

From frame drawings to finished imagery

You send what the factory already has. We handle modeling, materials, scenes and delivery.

1
Step 1

Brief & input files

Share frame drawings or CAD, exact dimensions, the cover list with fabric samples or scans, and references for the look you want. A project manager sets the job up on our CGI CRM.

2
Step 2

Geometry & clay approval

We model the frame, cushions and seams with real construction logic and send grey clay renders. Proportion, seat depth and cushion behavior are approved here, before any fabric work.

3
Step 3

Fabrics, leather & light

Weave, pile, sheen and leather grain are built from your samples, then the scene is lit so the material reads the way it does under showroom light.

4
Step 4

Covers & configurations

Every cover and layout is applied inside the approved scene with the camera unchanged, so the range compares cleanly across the catalog.

5
Step 5

QA & delivery

Each image is checked against your specs and delivered in the crops your PDPs, dealer materials and campaigns need. Approved models stay in your asset library for next season.

FAQ

Answers to common questions about upholstery rendering

What do you need from us to start?

Frame drawings or CAD, exact dimensions, your cover list with fabric samples or high-resolution scans, and reference photos of an existing piece if you have one. Physical samples help most with pile and sheen: the way velvet or bouclé catches light is what we match first.

Can you render every fabric we offer?

Yes, and from the same scene. Once the frame is modeled and the shot approved, each cover is applied as a material with the camera and lighting unchanged. That is what makes an options page usable: the customer compares covers, not photographs taken months apart.

Will the cushions look real, not computer-perfect?

Cushion slump, seam pull and fabric drape are modeled deliberately, because that is what separates a believable sofa from an obvious render. We tune it against your reference photos during clay and material approval.

Can you show modular configurations?

Yes. A modular system is built as parts, so corner, chaise and island layouts are assembled from the same approved modules. New configurations later cost a fraction of the first render, because the geometry already exists.

Do the same assets work for AR and configurators?

The models are built so they can be optimized for AR previews and online configurators without re-modeling. The geometry and materials approved for your imagery are the same ones that drive the interactive experience.

How long does a first project take?

It depends on how many frames and covers are in scope and how complete the input files are. After the brief you get a schedule with clay approval, materials and delivery milestones, so imagery lands when your catalog or launch needs it.

What image and 3D file formats do you deliver?

We provide web-ready and print-ready images in the required resolutions, along with animation, 360-view and interactive assets when included in the project scope. Source 3D files and specific delivery formats can be agreed on before production begins.

How much does upholstery rendering cost?

Cost depends on the number of frames, the number of covers and the formats you need. Our price list breaks down each project type with average costs and example results, so you can plan the budget before talking to us: or book a demo and we will estimate your specific range.
