What do you need from us to start?
CAD or STEP files and references for each finish, such as photos or existing catalog pages. For hardware, good references matter more than for almost any other product category, because brushed, polished and PVD coatings differ in how they reflect rather than in color.
Can you render our whole finish library from one model?
Yes, and it is the main reason hardware brands move to CGI. The part is modeled once, then every finish is applied to the same geometry with identical lighting, so the finish chart is genuinely comparable.
Can you show mechanisms working?
Yes. Hinges, slides and locking mechanisms are modeled as assemblies, so they can be rendered in any position or animated, useful for both marketing and installation documentation. The same assembly is reused for the still, the animation and the installation sheet.
Can hardware be shown installed?
Yes. Parts are placed on cabinetry, doors or panels so a specifier can judge proportion and projection, which a white-background shot never answers. Door hardware is shown on the door style it ships with, so the track, the mount and the clearance all read correctly.
Do the models work for configurators?
They can be optimized for real-time use, so the same geometry approved for imagery can drive a configurator where a customer swaps a handle finish and sees it on the cabinet immediately.
What file formats do you deliver?
Stills in print and web resolutions, animation as MP4, and 3D models in OBJ, FBX or GLB when your configurator or specifier downloads need them. Naming follows your own SKU structure, so files drop straight into the catalog without renaming.
How long does a first project take?
It depends on the number of parts and finishes and on the quality of the CAD. After the brief you get a schedule with clay approval, finish approval and delivery milestones. Most catalogs run in batches, so the first finishes are approved while the rest are still in production.
How much does hardware rendering cost?
Pricing depends on the number of parts, finishes and formats. In our current price list for orders of 200+ items a year, 3D models are $60 to $500 depending on complexity, a silo render is $5 to $7, a close-up or custom view $30 and a 360° view $50. Installation animation is $15 per second of video.
