How do you show a customer what a floor will look like in their kitchen, their bathroom, their laundry room — when the same plank needs to work in all three? And how do you do that for every colorway, across every collection, at a pace that matches your product launch calendar? That’s the challenge at the heart of this project. Beauflor, a U.S.-manufactured luxury vinyl roll flooring brand, came to CGIFurniture to solve it. Before that, Beauflor photographed real estate interiors and composited flooring into the images in post-production — a process that was slow and hard to control.

About the Client

Beauflor is a luxury vinyl roll flooring brand under Beaulieu International Group, a Belgium-headquartered flooring manufacturer with operations across Europe, the Americas, and Oceania. Beauflor’s U.S. products are manufactured in Cartersville, Georgia, and sold primarily into the multi-family housing and manufactured housing segments. Some products are also rated for commercial use.

The brand’s product line includes luxury vinyl rolls across several collections, among them Reflect+ and Metro+. Beauflor focuses on practical, affordable flooring with realistic wood and stone textures — products designed for everyday residential settings.

The Challenge

Beauflor’s previous workflow for product imagery relied on photographing real interiors and digitally inserting flooring into the shots. This required significant manual effort for each image, and every new collection or colorway meant repeating the cycle.

Vinyl flooring is also a product where visual accuracy directly affects purchase decisions. Customers need to see how a plank pattern repeats across a full room, how light plays across the surface texture, and how a specific colorway sits alongside cabinetry, countertops, and wall colors. Close-up shots need to resolve individual plank detail. Lifestyle scenes need to show the floor installed in context and represent both the product and the space accurately.

There’s a specific requirement for the environments in those lifestyle scenes, too. Most of Beauflor’s business is in multi-family and manufactured housing, so the interiors need to reflect that market — kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms with fixtures and finishes that look like things their customers would actually have in their homes. Scenes that look too polished lose credibility with the target audience. Scenes that look too plain don’t sell.

And the brand needs visuals across a wide range of room types — living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, laundry rooms, offices, restaurants, beauty salons, gyms, hospitals, and vehicle interiors — in multiple content formats: lifestyle renders, close-ups, flatlays, and animation. All of it needs to be consistent in quality and producible at a pace that keeps up with collection launches.

What We Did

Flooring product rendering flatlay of Splendor Ivory marble-effect vinyl tile with gold accents, gingham textile, and blue-white ceramics

CGIFurniture has been producing flooring product rendering for Beauflor for over two years, with more than 30 projects completed across that period. The work covers the full range of visual content the brand uses in its marketing — lifestyle renders, close-ups and top-down views, flatlays, and animation — across several collections. All deliverables are produced at 4K resolution.

The production workflow is built for speed and consistency. Beauflor sends a photograph of the flooring material along with technical specs — plank size, pattern repeat dimensions, and pattern drop. They then select a scene from CGIFurniture’s library of over 4,000 ready-made interior environments. Working from an existing scene eliminates the time and cost of building a custom 3D environment from scratch for every project. Where needed, the team adjusts the selected scene — removing a rug, swapping out a fixture, changing wall color — to match the client’s brief.

Lifestyle Renders

CGIFurniture produced lifestyle scenes across more than a dozen room types — living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, offices, laundry rooms, restaurants, beauty salons, gyms, hospitals, and vehicle interiors. Each scene was styled to match the market the product serves, with attention to the kind of fixtures, cabinetry, and decor that Beauflor’s customers encounter in real homes. The scene library model means that each new collection launch starts from a ready-made environment — Beauflor selects a scene, requests modifications, and receives finished renders at a pace that keeps up with their product calendar.

Close-Ups and Top-Down Views

Close-up and top-down renders serve a similar purpose — they put the flooring front and center. Shot from above with furniture or objects at the edge of the frame for scale, these images show plank-level texture, grain direction, and color accuracy while also giving customers a sense of how the pattern reads across a larger area. They’re the images that go on product pages where buyers compare colorways side by side, so precision matters: realistic plank variation, accurate scale, and lighting that emphasizes surface detail.

Flatlays

For flatlay renderings, Beauflor provides reference moodboards and brand color palettes. The renders are composed as styled top-down arrangements for marketing collateral and social media. In some cases, details like realistic hands, plants, and micro-texture on fabric elements were refined using AI-assisted inpainting techniques alongside the core 3D pipeline.

Animation

CGIFurniture also produced a short product animation for Beauflor — a six-second loop showing the flooring in a styled interior. It’s a compact format, and with the vinyl flooring 3D rendering assets already built for the static deliverables, producing motion content from the same scene files adds minimal overhead.

How Beauflor Used the Content

Beauflor uses the flooring 3D images across its digital marketing. Close-up renders and lifestyle scenes appear on the brand’s product pages, where customers browse individual colorways and see the flooring in room context. The renders also feature in Beauflor’s Look Book, where full-page spreads pair lifestyle scenes with product specifications. Flatlay renders are published on the brand’s social media channels to support new collection announcements.

One CGI pipeline produces content for product pages, social media, and marketing materials — Beauflor doesn’t need separate production workflows for each channel. The same flooring lifestyle rendering that goes on a product page can be cropped or reformatted for a social post. For a brand that launches new colorways regularly, that consistency and reusability directly affect how quickly new products can go to market with full visual support.

The scene library model also means that when a new collection launches, the team isn’t building environments from zero. Beauflor selects from existing scenes, requests modifications, and receives finished renders — a cycle that is faster and more affordable than commissioning custom photography or custom 3D scenes for every project.

Some of the scenes are proprietary — built by CGIFurniture specifically for Beauflor, so the brand has exclusive visuals that won’t appear on any other manufacturer’s website.

Flooring CGI for Product Launches and Beyond

For flooring manufacturers producing visuals across residential and light commercial markets, flooring product rendering replaces the old photograph-and-composite approach. The results are more consistent, faster to produce, and scale across collections — each new colorway gets the same quality of visual content as the last, and each new scene is a modification rather than a rebuild.

This kind of project — flooring CGI for vinyl and resilient flooring brands — is something we work on across multiple manufacturers and product categories.
