Sanitaryware, tapware & vanities

3D Rendering for Bathroom Products

Chrome, ceramic and glass are the hardest things to photograph and the easiest to get right in CGI, where reflections are controlled rather than fought. We render your bathroom range installed, in every finish, from the models your engineering team already has.

Sanitary Ware CGI Case Study

Swiss Madison

Swiss Madison needed catalog and ecommerce imagery for a sanitaryware range that ships in multiple finishes and configurations. We modeled the products from their CAD and rendered them both as clean catalog shots and in installed bathroom scenes, with finishes applied to the same models. The library now grows by adding products to approved scenes instead of booking another studio day.

How it works

From engineering data to installed imagery

You send what engineering already has. We handle modeling, materials, scenes and delivery.

1
Step 1

Brief & input files

Share CAD or STEP files, exact dimensions, the finish list with samples, and the configurations you sell. For tapware, the finish samples matter most — chrome and brushed metals are judged on reflection quality.

2
Step 2

Geometry & clay approval

Products are modeled with real construction — spouts, waste fittings, overflow details — and approved as grey clay renders before material work.

3
Step 3

Finishes & light

Chrome, brushed, matte and coloured finishes are built physically, and the scene is lit so reflections describe the form instead of blowing it out.

4
Step 4

Scenes & variants

Finishes and configurations swap inside approved scenes, and products are staged into complete bathrooms where the range needs to be shown together.

5
Step 5

QA & delivery

Each image is checked against your specs and delivered in the formats your PDPs, retailer feeds and print materials need.

CGI CRM

All work happens in one place

Your projects, feedback and finished assets live in our portal — not in an email thread.

Briefs, feedback and approvals

Set tasks, comment directly on renders and approve versions. Every decision stays attached to the image it belongs to.

Reusable asset library

Approved models, materials and scenes are stored and reused, so the next collection starts from what is already built.

Project history and delivery

Versions, results and final files in one place, available to your whole team whenever a catalog or campaign needs them.

Content formats

What you get from one bathroom product model

Every format below comes from the same approved 3D asset.

Silo and lifestyle renders

Clean product shots for the catalog and styled scenes for the brand — from one model.

Close-ups and feature images

Macro views of the materials, joins and details a buyer inspects before deciding.

360° product views

Spin sets that let a shopper turn the product and inspect it from every side.

Product animation

Motion that explains what a still cannot: mechanisms, assembly, scale and use.

AR and configurator assets

Optimised models that place the product in a shopper's room or drive an online configurator.

Catalog, ecommerce and campaign content

Crops and formats prepared for PDPs, dealer print, marketplaces and social.

I am a furniture maker and I have used CGIFurniture to create my product renders. The platform is well made, comprehensive, the rendering teams are friendly, professional and flexible. The renders are gorgeous. A special shout out to my account manager Adriana who has managed, with her patient, professional and timely interaction, to drive our first project to success. I am really looking forward to out next projects.

We looked for a solution allowing us to do without photo shoots. After some research we chose to test CGI Furniture. The result is perfect, we have found our future partner! Thanks to Alex, Sviat and their team. See you soon for future projects Romain

FAQ

Answers to common questions

What do you need from us to start?

CAD or STEP files, exact dimensions, your finish list with physical samples where possible, and reference photos of installed products. For anything chrome or brushed, samples are the difference between a convincing render and an obviously synthetic one.

Is CGI better than photography for chrome and glass?

Usually, yes. Photographing polished metal means controlling every reflection in the room; in CGI the environment is built deliberately, so highlights describe the shape rather than showing the studio. It is also repeatable across a whole range.

Can you render every finish we offer?

Yes, from the same model and scene. Chrome, brushed nickel, matte black and coloured finishes are applied to the approved geometry with the camera unchanged, which is what makes a finish selector honest.

Can you produce installation animations?

Yes. Because the products are modeled as real assemblies, installation sequences, exploded views and maintenance steps can be animated from the same asset — often more useful to installers than a printed diagram.

Can you show products in complete bathrooms?

Yes, and for retail and specification imagery it is usually what sells. Rooms are built once and the range is staged into them, including tiles and furniture, so the collection reads as a coordinated look.

How do you keep chrome and glass looking clean?

Reflections are built from a controlled studio environment rather than a random HDRI, so taps and shower screens reflect something deliberate instead of visual noise — the part that usually gives away a rendered bathroom.

How long does a first project take?

It depends on the number of products and finishes and how complete your engineering files are. After the brief you get a schedule with clay approval, materials and delivery milestones.

How much does bathroom product rendering cost?

Pricing depends on the number of products, finishes and scenes. Our price list breaks down project types with average costs and example results — download it above, or book a demo for an estimate on your range.
