Ceramic, porcelain & mosaic

3D Rendering for Tile Brands

Tiles are specified from room shots, not from a single piece on white. We render your collections into finished bathrooms, kitchens and facades — every format, every layout, every grout choice — from one scene per room, so the whole catalog stays visually consistent.

Photorealistic tile visualization in poolside lifestyle scene — 3D CGI render for product marketing

TileShop

TileShop needed ecommerce imagery for tile collections where the same product looks entirely different depending on room, layout and grout. We built the rooms once, modeled the tiles as physical materials with real surface relief, and rendered every collection into the same scenes. Customers now compare tiles under identical light, and new collections join the library without another shoot.

How it works

From tile scans to installed rooms

You send the product data. We handle rooms, materials and delivery.

1
Step 1

Brief & input files

Share high-resolution scans of each tile, exact formats, surface finish and relief details, plus grout and layout preferences. A project manager sets the job up on our CGI CRM.

2
Step 2

Room build & clay approval

Bathrooms, kitchens or facades are modeled and framed, then approved as grey clay renders before any tile work begins.

3
Step 3

Materials & light

Glaze, matte and structured surfaces are built with real relief and reflectivity, then lit so the finish reads the way it does on a showroom wall.

4
Step 4

Layouts, grout & formats

Tiles are laid into the approved rooms in the patterns you sell, with grout colour and joint width applied as specified — the variables that change a tile most.

5
Step 5

QA & delivery

Colour and scale are checked against your samples, then images are delivered in the formats your ecommerce, visualiser and print materials need.

The render team at CGI is extremely thorough which was very helpful for creating complex, technical, lifestyle rendered images related to bathrooms, kitchen, and plumbing. My company is based in the USA and manufactures rough-in plumbing products. CGI was able to create beautiful lifestyle imagery with complex details of our product through several rounds of revisions and clarifications, but they were always extremely communicative and quick to respond.

I’ve been working with the team at CGI for almost two years now, and they have been absolutely incredible to work with. Kate leads a team of true professionals who not only understand my vision but consistently bring it to life with precision, creativity, and care. What sets them apart is their collaborative approach: they are always open to feedback, receptive to changes, and offer thoughtful input that often enhances the final outcome. Their ability to balance what I’m asking for with what’s best for the project has made them an invaluable creative partner. They’re also excellent communicators, always responsive and reliable, and every project is delivered on time, often ahead of schedule. I highly recommend CGI for any digital imagery needs.

FAQ

Answers to common questions

What do you need from us to start?

High-resolution scans of each tile, exact formats, the surface finish and any relief or structure information, plus grout colours and the layouts you sell. Physical samples help when a glaze has depth that a scan flattens.

How do you avoid a repeating pattern on a big wall?

Tiles are laid as individual pieces with per-tile variation and rotation, exactly as they are installed, rather than as one tiled texture. That is what stops a large surface from showing an obvious repeat.

Can you show different grout colours?

Yes, and it is one of the cheapest ways to make a collection look bigger. Once the room is approved, grout colour and joint width are parameters, so the same tile can be shown light-, dark- or tone-matched.

Can you render facades and outdoor applications?

Yes. Exterior scenes are built the same way, with daylight conditions chosen to show the surface — which matters more outdoors, where texture reads at a distance.

Can the renders feed a room visualiser?

They can. We deliver consistent, aligned sets suitable for a tile visualiser, and can prepare materials for real-time use where your platform supports it.

How much does tile rendering cost?

Cost depends on the number of rooms and collections, not on the size of the wall. Our price list breaks down project types with average costs and example results — download it above, or book a demo for an estimate on your catalog.
