How do you shoot a bathroom vanity that comes in three widths and four finishes when the webshop needs every combination on its own page? You could build twelve furniture sets, light a studio twelve times and hope the oak reads the same in every shot. Or you could have the vanity built in 3D once and let buyers switch sizes and finishes right on the product page.

LOMAZOO took the second route. Across a series of projects, our team delivered bathroom vanity rendering, silo and lifestyle shots for showers and faucets, renders of mirrors and toilets from factory CAD, plus GLB files and animation. Here is how we handled bathroom furniture rendering and bathroom product rendering for LOMAZOO, product line by product line.

About the Client

LOMAZOO is a direct-to-consumer brand of designer sanitaryware and bathroom and kitchen furniture, based in Dordrecht, the Netherlands. The company sells through its own Shopify store, available in six languages: Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.

The catalog is built around variants. A single furniture set is sold in three widths (60, 80 and 100 cm) and several colors. The range also includes mirrors, faucets, showers and toilets.

The Challenges

The first challenge was arithmetic: 3 sizes × 4 colors × several angles per product page. A shopper choosing a 100 cm vanity in Warm Oak with a black basin needs to see exactly that, not a similar white one with a note saying “also available in oak.” For a photo shoot, that means twelve physical furniture sets in the studio before the first angle is shot. In the 3D rendering vs photography debate, this matrix settles things quickly: product variant images come from switching a material, not from shipping another cabinet.

From LOMAZOO’s brief:

Like the previous project, this exact item comes in 3 sizes: 60, 80, and 100. It is available in 4 different colors: Light Oak, Warm Oak, White, and Black.

The second challenge was the source files. LOMAZOO sends factory CAD models in FBX, OBJ and GLB formats. They are made for manufacturing, not for a product page. Each file needed cleanup, materials and correct scale, and for some products our team handled the 3D modeling from scratch.

The third was consistency. About 15 product lines had to look like one brand, yet each line needed its own scene, so a buyer moving between pages wouldn’t confuse two similar vanities.

What We Did

For LOMAZOO, our team delivered 3D modeling, silo and lifestyle renders, detail close-ups, GLB models, animation and hero banners. Below, the work is grouped by product.

Bathroom Vanity Rendering for Every Size and Finish

LOMAZOO sells its vanities as sets: a cabinet with a basin, often paired with a matching tall column cabinet. Each set comes in 60, 80 and 100 cm widths and a range of finishes, from wood tones to white, black and muted neutrals. For every combination, we rendered standard angles plus detail shots of the set in use: water running from the faucet, a top view of the basin, drawers open, the tall cabinet with its doors open and a room view of the full set.

We built one scene and one model, then switched size and finish inside it. The black and oak sets below share the same room, angle for angle. When LOMAZOO added a black basin to the range, and later a new wood finish, neither change required a new scene. It was exactly what the client asked for:

We’re selling the same product with different wash basin color, so I want to use the same set and environment.

Silo and Lifestyle Renders for Showers and Faucets

Shower sets, from built-in systems to exposed shower columns, received two treatments. The silo renders above follow the layout LOMAZOO specified: overhead shower at the top, controls below, hand shower beside them, so every set reads the same way on the category page.

Lifestyle renders then place each set in a finished bathroom.

We also rendered close-ups of hand showers, rain heads with water running and thermostat controls. They show what a full-set shot can’t: the nozzle layout, the spray itself and the controls up close.

We modeled deck- and wall-mounted basin faucets and rendered each from identical angles, with water running and in close-up, in finishes such as brushed gold, matt black, gun metal and chrome. Metal is where photorealistic product rendering earns its keep: each finish reflects light differently.

Mirrors and Toilets from Factory CAD

Mirrors came in as client FBX files. Most sit in one fixed scene with only the size changing, so buyers can compare widths from 80 to 140 cm and see what fits above their vanity. A few got mood shots that sell the look, not the size.

Wall-hung toilets in white and black, round and square, got lifestyle renders with the lid open and closed, plus top-down views of the rimless bowl. Smart toilets add the control panel.

GLB Models, Animation and Hero Banners

For the some products, we prepared GLB models. The format works on the web, so buyers can rotate a part and see it from any side.

For the toilet range, we created a flush animation. It shows the one thing a still image can’t: how the toilet works.

3D rendering of a bathroom with an oak vanity, tall cabinet, pebble-shaped LED mirror and black walk-in shower, used as a homepage banner

For the homepage, we delivered a hero banner in three aspect ratios (16:9, 4:5 and 24:9), so one image fits desktop, standard and mobile layouts.

One Scene, Every Variant

For a webshop that sells every item in several sizes and finishes, the 3D model is the real asset. Once a product is built, a new finish, width, angle or interior is another render, faster and cheaper than a new photo shoot. That is the practical case for bathroom furniture rendering: fixed scenes per product line and one visual style across the catalog.

Across LOMAZOO’s site, every product page with our renders works the same way. Each variant, whether a width, a finish or a color, has its own page with a gallery of exactly that version: a clean shot, a lifestyle scene and the key details. On a vanity, that’s open drawers and running water; on a shower, the spray; on a faucet, the lever and finish up close; on a mirror, the side profile; on a toilet, the flush button and rimless bowl. Renders also fill related-product blocks, where buyers preview other finishes, and lead the homepage.

The same approach works for any brand that needs 3D product images for a Shopify store. If your range is built on variants, see how we approach 3D rendering for bathroom products, or send us your CAD files and product matrix.
