Bloc Blinds is an award-winning UK-based online retailer of custom blinds. It manufactures several series of unique blinds and accessories that are easily assembled and integrated into any home. The series include blackout, roller, wooden, skylight, and motorized blinds.
In July 2022, the Bloc Blinds team contacted CGIFurniture for 3D renders that would present their goods using lifestyle rendering services. The brand representatives shared their vision of the pictures they needed for different marketing channels. Some of those images had to be solely focused on the blinds’ design and show the product in eye-catching lifestyle settings. Let’s take a look at the renderings our 3D artists have made as a result!
Technical Assignment from Bloc Blinds
The project assignment included two guides with references — one for product images with windows/blinds and the other for lifestyle shots with monochromatic rooms surrounding the windows/blinds.
Monochromatic room renders:
- 4K resolution;
- Using brand color palette;
- Different types of rooms for the background;
- Subtle furniture pieces to match the background;
- The blinds must stand out in the picture.
Window/blind product renders:
- 4K resolution;
- Modern window type;
- Realistic outside background;
- Each type of the blinds covers 2/3 of the window;
- Types and palettes of the blinds are included in TA.
Detailed Product 3D Renders
The brand managers requested product renders for each type of the blinds in different colors. Every item needed to be shown in two images — a general and a close-up view of the blind tilt mechanism. The focus of these renders is fully on the design of blinds without any distracting elements in the composition.
On-Brand Lifestyle 3D Rendering
The Bloc Blinds team told us about their idea of monocolored lifestyle renders for their products. To bring this vision to life, our 3D artists put the 3D-modeled blinds in monochrome yet bright interior CG scenes. This way, we made the neutrally colored blinds stand out beautifully against the rich-colored backgrounds.
Eye-Catching Visual Promo Content
The brand marketers used both types of 3D renders for Bloc Blind’s website and social media. The CG pictures not only showcase the products in every detail but look very fresh and attention-grabbing compared to most product images customers see online nowadays.
