for Clawz — a Modern Cat Furniture Company
The main mission of Clawz, a US-based furniture company, is to make products that bring happiness to the lives of cats and their owners. Also, the brand is an avid advocate of rescue, shelter, and adoption of stray cats, which is no wonder considering how Clawz was established. One day Dominic Monahan, the founder of the company, rescued a stray cat from a snowstorm. He named his new roommate Shivers and they’ve become inseparable ever since. This story inspired Dominic to help more cats all over the world get the joyful life they deserve. And that was his main reasoning behind establishing Clawz.
As of now, Clawz has three products: Cat Condo, Cat Palace and Cat Kingdom, which is the combo of the first two. Each of these furniture pieces has unique features tailored for cats of specific ages and sizes. The items serve as a playground, a cat gym, a cozy nest for naps — all at once. On top of that, the furniture looks ultra-stylish and can become a one-of-a-kind addition to any home interior.
To showcase the value of his unique products to caring cat owners, Dominic decided to order different types of CG tools. So, he contacted CGIFurniture for silo and lifestyle renders, multi-row 3D views, and AR models for cat furniture. Working on such an unusual project was a great pleasure and fun for our team. Let’s take a deeper look at the results of our collaboration with Clawz!
White Background 3D Rendered Product Images
The requirements for silo images were standard — the white background and ¾ angle views of the items. In these renders, we needed to show three color schemes for every product: Natural, Carbonized, and Tiger. As the main references, Dominic sent product photos, CAD drawings and the company’s logo icon that was placed on all 3D furniture models.
Lifestyle Renders with Cats as Main Characters
For lifestyle scenes, Dominic chose ready-made 3D room sets from CGIFurniture library and asked our 3D artists to incorporate cat furniture models in there. The special requirement was portraying cats having fun inside the furniture pieces to demonstrate their functionality. And not just any cats! Dominic wanted CG images to show his pets he adopted after his first feline friend Shivers. To help us fulfill this task, he sent photos of his fluffy friends so that we could seamlessly photoshop them in the renders.
White Background Multi-Row 3D Views
The Clawz’s owner wanted not just simple 360° product views but multi-row 3D images with a white background for all three products. Such 3D models can be rotated not only in a circle, but also upside down, diagonally, etc. This feature allows customers to examine every millimeter of the product from any angle.
Eye-Catching Promo Images for the Company’s Site
The cat furniture company used silo and lifestyle 3D renders for product listing pages and product detail pages. Looking at them, it’s easy to learn about the features of the cat furniture pieces in detail and understand how they can improve the lives of pets and their owners.
